Month of May in a Nutshell

Well we started May off the same way many of you did by celebrating Mother's Day! My boys were especially good to me this year. I had a homemade CROWN for my royal day. I got my kitchen aid, YEAH!!! And best of all I GOT TO SLEEP IN!!!
They wouldn't put the stuff down for pictures...I think it adds a little character, don't you???
A few days later Caden graduated from Kindergarten. What a bitter sweet day for me. He's growing up so fast and yet I'm so proud of the young man he is becoming!
The boys found our Halloween bucket out in the shop and the next thing I know we have our own version of the village people in our living room. They sure make me smile.
So one evening in May we happened to be working on our yard when I looked up to see one of many creations our Heavenly Father allows up to enjoy. Just as the sun was setting these clouds rolled in from no where. Levi and I climbed on the roof to get a better view and stayed up there till the sun had set that night.

Panoramic View! Breathtaking!!!

Memorial Day we decided to work on our backyard some more. We were about to pack up our tools and head to my parent's home to swim when we heard Caden's voice, " Uh guys...I'm bleeding here!" No panic in his voice just a sweet uh I need some help voice. It was more than a little cut.

I think he'll think twice next time he wants to use his daddy's 3lb sledge hammer and re-bar, don't you???

Ready to head HOME!!! HAPPY GUY!!!

AN HOUR LATER!

No worries, what ever caused the freakish blood spill had stopped before the Dr. looked at it again!

Healing just fine and posing with the re-bar that did all the damage!
May 28th My Great Uncle Francis William Green passed away. I honestly don't remember if I ever met him since my Grandpa Green passed away when I was 5 there wasn't a lot of communication with the Green side of the family. However my dad found out and called me up to drive to Albuquerque with him and my mom. It was so great to get to meet family I didn't know existed. I had a wonderful afternoon meeting my dad's two cousins, Sharmon and Rhonda, along with Rhonda's 4 sons (left to right) Allen, Austin, Rich, and Greg.
My mom and dad with the extended family! I sure wish I had met my uncle Francis. I believe some day I will. But for now I will only know him through the memories that his children and grandchildren were kind enough to share with me on that beautiful day in Albuquerque. I'm also thankful for a few memories they shared with me of my own grandfather, whom I only remember from family videos and pictures. Families truly are FOREVER!!!

A little bit of RANDOMS

I decided since I'm so far behind I'd update the past few months with some of my favorite pictures taken. Enjoy!!!
The boys and I had a fun time while daddy was away in November for some Tech Training. We spent the week playing games, watching movies, sword fighting, and making silly faces.

We spent our Thanksgiving Break at the Great Wolf Lodge in Grapevine, Tx. We had a blast and were exhausted when we got home.

Ryan OR

Joe Dirt?
Ryan had fun this past Halloween. And YES he went to work this way!

Funny Boys!

Benson has earned the name "BUG". The first 8 months of life he battled to stay healthy so we called him Benson bug, he's our Love bug too...but he is the BIGGEST WATER BUG we know also. This kid is fearless when it comes to water. He LOVES IT!

DEAR BLOG...

...so lately every time I sit down to upload pictures or update our adventurous children decide to :
A: Start World War 3 Over A Beloved LEGO
B: Make Their Own Lunch With TONS OF HONEY!!!
C. Fill The Toilet With a WHOLE ROLL OF TP
D. Stand Right Next To Me and say MOM, MOM,MOM, CAN I, CAN I, CAN I...until I don't even remember what I was trying to do in the first place.
E. ALL OF THE ABOVE PLUS SOME!!!

We had an AWESOME Thanksgiving Vacation. We packed the whole crew up and headed to Grapevine Texas were we enjoyed THE GREAT WOLF LODGE http://www.greatwolf.com/ ...if you live close to one I highly recommend going. It was fun to be in a water park in the middle of winter. A few days after arriving home, December 3rd, Benson was finally weighing enough and old enough to undergo his bi-lateral inguinal hernia repair. He flirted with the nurses and was a pretty happy baby considering he didn't get to eat 12 hours prior to surgery. THANK GOODNESS FOR OUR SWING!!! The swing kept him lulled to sleep until we needed to head to the hospital. He was his normal happy self within 24 hours post-op!

Christmas was enjoyable! We ATE WAY TOO MUCH!!! I've never stepped on a scale after the holidays until this year...I think it's crazy how one can gain 6 pounds in a day. YES...6 POUNDS!!! However, I've never been one to care about weight management but seriously 6 pounds in one day is ridiculous and I will be more careful when the holidays roll around again!

The rest of our time is filled with work and church callings. In fact in the next 12 weeks we have 1 weekend to ourselves and the rest is filled with Youth Activities, Temple Trips, Primary Activities, and Practice for The 10 Virgin Performance I've been asked to sing in (which I'm way excited for, the music is FANTASTIC!!!)

I do have pictures to post but they were all downloaded to our PC Tower and I don't want to wake Ryan to link the laptop up...so those will have to wait for another day...

Here are the boys' statistics, kinda fun to see where they all are:

Caden: is 5 (almost 6) weighing in at 52 lbs and is 4 feet 5 inches (He'll be taller than me soon)
Levi : is 3 weighs in at 41 lbs and is 3 feet 8 inches (NOT far behind his brother)
Benson: is 7 months and weighs 17 lbs 14 oz and is 2 feet 4 inches
Ryan is...just kidding...

Goodnight, I must sleep before Benson wakes for his night feeding!!!
